Map what is fixed

Note walls, windows, doors, plumbing locations, vents and any structural constraints. Moving plumbing can be worthwhile, but it should be an intentional choice rather than an accidental consequence of a fixture selection.

Test doors and clearances

Draw door swings, shower-door movement and cabinet openings. A plan can look fine in a catalog image yet fail when a vanity drawer collides with a door or the toilet crowds the shower entry.

Place storage around routines

Think about where towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies and grooming items are used. Good storage reduces unnecessary movement and countertop clutter.
